are your paint walls doing you harm or killing you?
research VOC paint emissions and health risks
An acronym hell: what's the difference between VOC as in Volatile Organic Compound or the dutch east Indian trading company?

After cryptic messages from the dead that have been going on for ages in my flat mentioning various animal curses and and them going on about differing life expediencies and after stories that the grey lady shows when anyone is dying from cancer as she curses a stone mason in the 17th century for all his stone work to kill people after her mother told the stone mason to mix a poison in to the building of her home which she bought with money left in the will thus rendering the house useless and the bloke she wanted wouldn't move in because of the brickwork, and she died alone, and he, the stone mason and the mother knew about the poison as had read the same article and that story and a lot of other stressful information the dead were going in with which I'd rather not write up currently inter alia , I thought I should just do research on voc's instead and wall paint which I should have done immediately before moving in rather then years later, and especially considering napoleon's death 1821 and wall paper used to be pointed out at primary school.

hence the quick cut and paste of excerpts from articles found on the web:

"Toxic VOCs found in almost all household paints can cause cancer, compromised liver and kidney function, diminished lung capacity, and childhood asthma. The compromised liver function alone can cause exhaustion, difficulties with digesting and absorbing nutrients, and brain damage."

"According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, benzene is also known to damage the DNA of babies in utero (“genotoxic” is the word they use).

The CDC states that there is “clear evidence of a causal relationship” between benzene exposure and leukemia."

"The carcinogenicity of benzene is well documented in exposed workers. Epidemiological studies and
case reports provide clear evidence of a causal relationship between occupational exposure to benzene
and benzene-containing solvents and the occurrence of acute myelogenous leukemia (AML). The
epidemiological studies are generally limited by confounding chemical exposures and methodological
problems, including inadequate or lack of exposure monitoring and low statistical power, but a consistent
excess risk of leukemia across studies indicates that benzene is the causal factor.

"What are VOCs? VOCs are Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). The biggest clue that paint emits VOCs is the odor it emits when painting indoors. Ever had a headache after painting? Those are the VOCs."

i.e. formaldehyde,naphthalene, paradichlorobenzene, chloroform, benzene

"Therefore, during the course of many industrial
processes, VOCs are released to the atmosphere. Once released, they undergo a series of
complex reactions resulting in the formation of ground-level ozone, which is harmful to
human health and the environment. Some VOCs are quite harmful, including benzene,
polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and 1,3-butadiene. Benzene may increase
susceptibility to leukaemia, if exposure is maintained over a period of time, and PAHs may
be carcinogenic." page 27 of 29

"A number of the VOCs present in indoor air have caused cancer (are "carcinogens") in animal studies when the animals were exposed to high concentrations. A few of these VOCs — for example, formaldehyde and benzene — are considered by many authorities to be proven or probable human carcinogens [2, 62, 63]. The cancer risks from exposures to these VOCs have been estimated using exposure and risk assessment models. Some of these estimates rely on extrapolations from animals to people and all estimates rely on extrapolation from high (e.g., industrial occupational) to low pollutant doses. "

"Some indoor VOCs are designated by multiple authorities as human carcinogens. Estimates of the magnitudes of cancer risks posed by these VOCs vary widely. The cancer risks posed by indoor-generated VOCs appear to be comparable in magnitude to the cancer risks of exposures to VOCs from outdoor ari"

"In house paint, VOCs are released into the air once the paint is on the walls, during the drying process. Once these gases are in the air you're breathing, they could lead to dizziness or a bad headache. How many VOCs enter the air depends on what kind of paint you have. Normal indoor VOC levels usually stand at about 50 percent more than outdoor air. But while you're painting or stripping paint, these levels can rise to as much as 500 to 1,000 times as the level of the cleaner outdoor air."

"The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has linked VOCs to cancer. Many paints contain chemicals such as benzene and methylene chloride which are harmful when inhaled or exposed to skin. Oil-based paints should be avoided whenever possible. A few short-term side effects of oil-based paints include watery eyes, allergic reactions, and rashes on the skin. The EPA states that exposure to oil-based paints can cause the following long-term health hazards:

Organ damage
Central nervous system damage
Increased chance of developing cancer"

"In 2016, Sherwin-Williams began offering Paint Shield, the world’s first paint that claims to kill 99.9 percent of several types of bacteria, including staph and E. coli. on surfaces for up to four years. The water-based latex paint, developed by more than 400 chemists, coating scientists and microbiologists, comes in 550 colors.

The paint, registered with the Environmental Protection Agency, is ideal for bathrooms, laundry rooms and kitchens, says Steve Revnew, senior vice president of product innovation at Sherwin-Williams, based in Cleveland."

TVOC Meter Total Volatile Organic Compound Air tester meters web search on amazon, as I attempt to get piece of mind to escape the info the dead are going in with ordering one which is under £20 to see if any of it true, and would it show on those meters?

and I should have done this before moving in, and I should have done the electromagnetic radiation test on the rewire they forced upon me as well before my stuff in, as looking away on those meter reading which I did ages ago on that, and the research on that also as far as effects if any on health inter alia
