Nurse Genene Jones, Texas 'charged with 5 more murders' while working in a University Hospital in Texas
reading she was already sentenced to '99 years in 1982' though another article says 1984.

However i just did a search on that name (8/12/2017) in Houston texas database and didn't get any results returned for that name. however on double checking search did say results for last 24 hours only.

ones is currently at a woman’s prison in Gatesville. Her bond for this new charge has been set at $1,000,000 according to this article with these conditions reported to be on bond:

GPS Monitoring - Full House Arrest
No contact with children under the age of 18
No contact with any medical facility of any kind unless related to the defendant's own care.
No contact with any childcare facility.

Article says a Texas law designed to prevent prison overcrowding allows inmates convicted of violent crimes between 1977 and 1987 to be automatically released after so many year, for good behavior.

The article quotes a District Attorney Nico LaHood as having said "We are eager to take these cases to trial and hold Ms. Jones accountable for the callous murders of Joshua Sawyer,Rosemary Vega, Richard Ricky Nelson, Patrick Zavala, and Paul Villarreal,

a newss4sa article says Joshua Sawyer was killed on December 12th, 1981 using the sedative drug Dilantin, otherwise known as Phenytoin when she worked ast Bexar County Hospital, which is now University Hospital.

while the fox29 article says Genene Jones was extradited to San Antonio this week. She is currently serving part of a 99-year prison sentence for a 1984 conviction of the Kerrville baby (which was at a clinic when she worked in kerville 55 miles north east of san antonio according to abc7article, but a law in effect when she was initially sentenced would allow her to be released in March of 2018.

The article states defense attorney [for her? (ambiguity in article)] is Cornelius Cox and quote them of having said
"She has been incarcerated for over 30 years, so that in it of itself, should tell you something about, probably about her state of mind,”

fox29 reference foxs4sa article saying genene jones is suspected of having killed 60 kids with injections.

mysantonio.com article stated as being written by a Elizabeth Zavala Updated 7:27 pm, Monday, December 4, 2017 says Genene Jones also was also convicted [in 1984?] in Bexar County of injury to a child/serious bodily injury and sentenced to 60 years in prison for giving an overdose to Rolando Santos, who was 4 weeks old. He survived

that article says In May, Bexar County District Attorney Nicholas “Nico” LaHood announced a Bexar County grand jury returned a murder indictment against Jones in the death of 11-month-old Joshua Sawyer on Dec. 12, 1981.

the article stated as being written by Elizabeth Zavala says that "In June, the grand jury returned three more murder indictments against Jones in the deaths of Richard “Ricky” Nelson, 8 months, who died July 3, 1981; Patrick Zavala, 4 months, who died Jan. 17, 1982; and Rosemary Vega, 2-years-old, who died Sept. 16, 1981.
And in October, the grand jury indicted Jones in the death of 3-month-old Paul Villarreal. She is alleged to have injected him with the drug Heparin on Sept. 24, 1981."
